Powerfleet’s DashCam is a dual-facing onboard camera that leverages the latest artificial intelligence (AI) to analyze and proactively manage risky driving situations across your fleet.
Delivering real-time high-definition video from road and driver facing cameras, the DashCam bolsters safety programs, helps exonerate drivers with forensic data, prevents accidents, increases security, and lowers insurance costs. Its artificial intelligence can auto-detect risky driving behavior and provide audible and visual coaching feedback, to correct risky driving as it occurs and reduce the possibility of an accident in real-time.
The DashCam integrates with Unity, our SaaS-based fleet intelligence platform that ingests, processes, and enriches data from every asset, vehicle, and person, and helps you reduce risk, improve safety, and minimize insurance related costs.
The FreightCam combines a high-resolution camera, image recognition processor, door sensor, and artificial intelligence (AI) to deliver comprehensive cargo visibility throughout the entire transportation cycle. It accurately reports load and empty status while providing detailed cargo insights. Loaded, empty, and cargo Images are configured to update on key transportation events (e.g., door closed, begin/end of drive). Additionally, Cargo Images can be remotely triggered on-demand and/or according to a predefined schedule.
It installs on swing or roll doors to provide the best vantage point for true loading efficiency analysis, without the risk of being obscured by cargo loaded against the front wall. Utilizing advanced wireless technology, the FreightCam can be mounted on the rear door(s) of the trailer, while the host tracking device is positioned at the front. This configuration ensures reliability, minimizes damage risks, maximizes solar recharge for the host device, and optimizes cargo visibility.
The FreightCam can connect with Powerfleet’s Logistics Gateway and Logistics Gateway – Solar to provide real-time event reporting. The Gateways integrate with Unity, our SaaS-based fleet intelligence platform that ingests, processes, and consolidates data from every asset, vehicle, and person.
The Digital Video Recorder is designed for forklifts and industrial vehicles. This powerful system comprises a central DVR and up to 4 compatible cameras, continuously recording during vehicle operation. When connected to our Forklift Gateway, the DVR automatically saves video clips capturing events like impacts, providing a comprehensive record of before, during, and after incidents. Additionally, operators can manually trigger video clips, allowing proactive monitoring of material conditions during facility navigation and trailer loading.
The system serves multiple purposes, including operator monitoring for identifying bottlenecks and problem areas, detecting damaged materials and equipment, verifying accident claims, and providing opportunities for operator coaching.
The Digital Video Recorder can be used offline, by reviewing SD card recordings, or can have cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity options to integrate with Powerfleet’s SaaS-based fleet intelligence platform. The platform provides notifications as well as the option to quickly review events without having to pull the Digital Video Recorder’s SD Card.

What makes Powerfleet stand out has always been their responsiveness, creativity, problem-solving mindset to provide innovative solutions for our industry’s challenges and improvement opportunities
We have been working with Powerfleet since 2016 and consider them a critical partner. We like where they are going regarding a unified IoT perspective and look forward to using our data to drive deeper insights into our business.
Due to strong consumer feedback and efficiency we’ve seen in our workflow, we are dedicating additional resources to expand our Avis QuickPass offering. For those unfamiliar with this product, it enables our preferred customers upon arrival to select from a choice of vehicles on their phone, proceed directly to their car, and then utilize a unique QR code to exit via our automated Express Exit for a completely contactless experience.
Two years ago, we could buy a dry van trailer for $30,000 – today, they are $50,000. Some receivers use our trailers as an extension of their warehouse. One of our customers has 20-25 of our trailers at any given time. Powerfleet’s solution has allowed me to see when a trailer has been dropped for more than seven to ten days. Powerfleet’s solution lets us see where our trailers are at any time and enables better communication with our customers because we are armed with accurate data to hold them accountable.
This solution has more than helped cut costs and increase productivity and safety. The data and reports we receive provides our team with more knowledge than we ever knew possible.
For us, time was of the essence as we were on the verge of losing visibility on our newly acquired equipment when we initiated collaboration with Powerfleet. What we find impressive is Powerfleet’s ability to have implemented everything we wanted within a tight deadline, be it providing connectivity or the system reprogramming. This saved us a lot of trouble with potential idling of our equipment.
Powerfleet’s solutions gave us the tools we needed to run the most efficient—and profitable—trailer fleet. From finding lost trailers and right-sizing our trailer pools to reducing new trailer buys, our tracking system has added over $1 million to our bottom line.
Relying on conventional methods, such as safety trainings and conversations, isn’t enough. Working with Powerfleet allows us to elevate our safety standards, reduce costs, increase longevity of our vehicles, and help the environment with better fuel consumption.
Powerfleet’s intelligent solution complements our approach to offering the highest quality of work to our customers and helps our employees efficiently and safely do their job.
