The advanced vision system significantly enhances safety measures by proactively preventing accidents, bolstering pedestrian safety, and mitigating potential damage to industrial vehicles. Using automatic object detection, it identifies people and industrial vehicles, alerting operators to potential hazards and imminent danger, thus promoting a safety-focused workplace and maintaining safety standards.
The system can include up to three vehicle-powered cameras equipped with embedded artificial intelligence that can identify select objects. It also features front and rear indicator lights that emit audible and visual warnings when objects breach the vehicle path. A central wiring box powers the cameras and connects inputs and outputs for zone detection. When linked to our Forklift Gateway, camera outputs capture event details like breach location, time, and driver identification.
The Pedestrian Proximity Detection system identifies potential risks without reliance on special apparel or wearable tags, ensuring universal and reliable safety. It alerts drivers and pedestrians to avoid health and safety issues and provides management with quantifiable analytics for coaching best practices.
It can integrate with Powerfleet’s SaaS-based platform that ingests, processes, and enriches data from every asset, vehicle, and person. It helps decrease safety incidents by triggering speed and access control, detection of high-risk areas by identifying near-miss events, driver coaching, and more.
The Digital Video Recorder is designed for forklifts and industrial material handling equipment. This powerful system comprises a central DVR and up to 4 compatible cameras, continuously recording during vehicle operation. When connected to our Forklift Gateway, the DVR automatically saves video clips capturing events like impacts, providing a comprehensive record of before, during, and after incidents. Additionally, operators can manually trigger video clips, allowing proactive monitoring of material conditions during facility navigation and trailer loading.
The system serves multiple purposes, including operator monitoring for identifying bottlenecks and problem areas, detecting damaged materials and equipment, verifying accident claims, and providing opportunities for operator coaching.
The Digital Video Recorder can be used offline, by reviewing SD card recordings, or can have cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity options to integrate with Powerfleet’s SaaS-based fleet intelligence platform. The platform provides notifications as well as the option to quickly review events without having to pull the Digital Video Recorder’s SD Card.
The Speed Manager is an on-board device, mounted on the forklift that automatically reduces the vehicle’s maximum speed in response to specific qualifying events.
The device receives inputs from various devices and sensors also mounted on the vehicle, triggering the Speed Manager to restrict the throttle speed to one of two levels.
By proactively reducing the vehicle’s speed prior to a potential collision, this preventive measure effectively averts incidents. Following an event, the system decelerates the vehicle, facilitating thorough inspections and assessments to ensure proper evaluation.
Powerfleet offers two models of scales for forklifts and other material handling equipment. These scales enable tracking of production data and freight loads, while differing in their precision percentage.
The Forklift Scales are equipped with an easy-to-read LCD screen, which indicates a load’s calculated weight and bar graph of the load’s status. With the scales, shipments will not exceed trailer capacity, waybills are in line with actual weight, lift truck capacity is not exceeded, and material inventory matches actual weight.
Developed to withstand rugged applications, the Forklift Scales fit seamlessly to most makes and models of forklifts and other material handling equipment.
The Forklift Safety Lights family promotes workplace safety by preventing dangerous collisions and accidents.
It includes 3 Pedestrian and Vehicle Safety options: Forklift Safety Light Standard, Forklift Safety Light Mini and Forklift Safety Light Sideliner. Each easily mounts to a forklift, lift truck, or other industrial trucks. It works by projecting a bright light LED light across the floor (up to 4.5 meters) on the floor’s surface either ahead, behind, or beside the vehicle based on its location. The light alerts pedestrians and other vehicles in the area to the nearby presence of the vehicle – overcoming challenges with ambient noise.
Within the Safety Lights Family, there is an additional offering specifically designed for overhead cranes known as the Forklift Safety Light Maxi. This option ensures pedestrian safety by mounting the light at the bottom of the crane, projecting a solid, tightly focused LED spot or line on the floor. In addition, it aids in precise positioning for overhead crane operators.
Our hardware products seamlessly integrate with our data-powered applications, forming cohesive and synergistic solutions that maximize performance and unlock unparalleled insights, thereby enhancing forklift management capabilities across the board.

The Powerfleet solution is easy to use. The Powerfleet team is helpful and has follow-up meetings after installation to make sure we know how to manage it. At the time our utility trailer was stolen and equipped with Powerfleet technology, I was out of town (not in the office), but the system was easy to use remotely. I was able to log-in and track our assets from anywhere.
Two years ago, we could buy a dry van trailer for $30,000 – today, they are $50,000. Some receivers use our trailers as an extension of their warehouse. One of our customers has 20-25 of our trailers at any given time. Powerfleet’s solution has allowed me to see when a trailer has been dropped for more than seven to ten days. Powerfleet’s solution lets us see where our trailers are at any time and enables better communication with our customers because we are armed with accurate data to hold them accountable.
This solution has more than helped cut costs and increase productivity and safety. The data and reports we receive provides our team with more knowledge than we ever knew possible.
For us, time was of the essence as we were on the verge of losing visibility on our newly acquired equipment when we initiated collaboration with Powerfleet. What we find impressive is Powerfleet’s ability to have implemented everything we wanted within a tight deadline, be it providing connectivity or the system reprogramming. This saved us a lot of trouble with potential idling of our equipment.
Powerfleet’s solutions gave us the tools we needed to run the most efficient—and profitable—trailer fleet. From finding lost trailers and right-sizing our trailer pools to reducing new trailer buys, our tracking system has added over $1 million to our bottom line.
